Global Engagement & Empowerment Forum on Sustainable Development (GEEF)
February 7-8, 2018
Seoul, Republic of Korea

On 7th February 2018, the UNOSD led a session about climate change adaptation at the 2018 Global Engagement & Empowerment Forum on Sustainable Development (GEEF), which was hosted by the Institute for Global Engagement and Empowerment (IGEE) and the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens.

Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) in the context of Sustainable Development Goals

For the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (especially goal 13: "Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impact"), climate change adaption can play a key role by building more inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable societies. Sustainable development cannot be achieved if climate change reaches catastrophic levels, and effective adaptation cannot make progress unless national policies and governance structures are improved in a more sustainable way. The SDGs embark us to take eminent actions to combat climate change.

This event was held in the Baekyangnuri Hall of Yonsei University on Wednesday, 7th February from 11:45 to 13:15.
